Best play shoes?

Hi all,
I need some recommendations on shoes. I'm at the top of the height range for my play boat and I just have the most miserable fit with my shoes. I have the generic NRS booties from Confluence and i just cant take it anymore but I'm not having much luck finding a solution out there. Any other play boaters have this issue? What shoes work best in a tight fitting play boat? Please help!

I love my Crocs in the play boat- be prepared to lose one or both if you happen to go for a swim tho-

i go barefoot most of the time, except for really cold days, I'll wear NRS neoprene socks, super comfy and they provide a touch of cushion if that's what you're looking for

I wear a pair of NRS sock all the time. They are about 30 dollars and they usually last a season, so it's worth being snug in my boat to me.

NRS Sasquatch booties that are just a step up from socks and they are great. Just a bit more paddling under them then socks but very flexible. They are shaped a bit more like a foot than most booties. The other thing you might want to try are the 5 fingers from Vibram. I use them for running but they might be a good paddling option. It takes awhile to get used to putting them on though.

Five Ten

Five Ten | Water Tennie

I'm wearing these this year. They will be the first pair of real paddling shoes to fit into my boat in a long time.

The Five Finger shoes look cool too. I have not found them to be comfortable on my foot, second toe is longer than my big toe. But, try them on for yourself and check.

Check to make sure they will fit in your boat, protect you from you walk/ swim, keep sand and rocks out, and stay on in a swim.
I love to dance, but who needs the music- It throws me off.

I've been wearing nrs rodeo booties in the playboat and they've performed pretty good (going on 4 years, I do spend most of my time in the creek boat though) but I'm going to buy some of these and see if the famous Kokatat quality extends to their booties as well.

I love the Desperado. Foam foot box and foam heal. Super comfy, pliable, and mine lasted over 3 years.
