Anybody familiar with WaterWolf boats?

I tried this in the regular boater forum & got no response, so I'll try here. Does anyone out there know anything about WaterWolf inflatables? The company is out of Telluride, and has been around for quite a while. Their website is WaterWolf Boats, if you'd care to check it out. The concept is pretty interesting - kevlar based fabric tubes of various lengths that can be clipped together to make cats of different configurations- R2, ducky, oarboat, etc. If anyone has one, or has seen one, or checks out the site and has an opinion, I'd appreciate any thoughts. Thanks

a friend of a friend had one, or several or however you buy the things. I remeber him seeming to like it, because thats what he started with, but seems that others that rowed it didn't like it. they claimed it was a a boat that would do a lot of things in different configs, but really didn't do any one of them well. I diden't look at the website, but if memory serves me, they hold a ridiculous amount of air, SUPER rigid, they were designed to hold it, but i like the option of inflating differently for different applications.

i was on a westy trip where a family had an older one. pretty sure it wasnt kevlar. it was a tiny little cat and the mom and the boat got worked over on the magnetic wall. styled everything else though and the boat was fine. they did mention that they usually ran it ducky style and left most of the frame at home. i've never repaired any for what thats worth.

Used Waterwolf @ Confluence Kayaks

Hey Banjo,

we have a used waterwoif down here on consignment.
It is in great shape and has all the frame components for cataraft or cat-duck. It includes both oars and paddle, and repair items

The tubes are burly, the bottoms are reinforced with Kevlar from bow to stern and look to be indestuctible

Please feel free to come in and take a look,
or give us a call 303-433-3676
