Make sure you get the inside of the dry box powder coated- that way you shit won't get all black from the aluminum. Powder coating the rest of it seems like a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. If powder coating is so bad for aluminum, why are aluminum bikes powder coated?

First let me say that this site is awesome! I've found a tremendous amount of info that I've put to use in purchasing my raft and determining how to rig it. Saved me a lot of dough as well. Thank you Buzzheads!

From the above discussion it looks like powder coating the low pros and dry box but leaving the cross bars and rails anodized is the way to go. Thanks for the help!

Marcos got a good point. Inside drybox followed by lid followed by handles.

I don't notice much black from the lopros. I'd just powdercoat to make them look cool.

FYI not sure if you have a cat but the nrs yokes are painted with some cheap paint that wears off easily. For $170 they should have gold leaf!
