amputees

are thre any leg amputees on here or does any one know of any that kake i would like to get some hints on a few thing s they have done.

Yes, you have options...

Don here from Confluence Kayaks. I've done some kayak outfitting for a person with an amputated lower leg. You've got a bunch of different options. Some of the things that you need to think about are: where is the power coming from? Is it shin, knee, thigh, or hip? Then you want to think about supporting the leg properly and dealing with any comfort issues. Here's one that you might not thought of... weight. You may need to compensate for weight differences between one side of the kayak and the other. A little counter balance under the seat works great.

thansk yea I was a class 5 kaker and even hit higher level stuff and the last two years have goten back into it. one thing I notice is rolling is a lot harder I usly stick my leg ina wet bag becuse I went to eject out of the kake and got my fake elg stuck so since then I take the leg off and put it in a dry bag but it is hard to find a spo to put the leg this past monday I put it were the leg would have been but it shifted has I went thorugh a rapid and thre me off and I fliped then i codnt roll becuse of were it was at .

I just found out at a confracne i go to every year and help teach at that is aqbout outdoor recration is going to offer a calss on kakyking for the amputee so maby i might get some good hints.
