I think the strikes are a bit less capable in whitewater than the Lynx and the Tomcat. If price is really a concern, get yourself a Tomcat. If you want to spend time on lakes and rivers, the strike is probably a little better at both than either the lynx or tomcat. If you want the boat that is going to last the longest and exhibits the best quality, even a used Lynx will likely still have a longer warranty left over a new strike (if it's less than 5 years old). For my money, I'd take a used US-made Lynx over a new imported Strike, but that's just my opinion. But if you can find a good used Strike nearby, it probably warrants some consideration.
