Astral Rassler is my best creeking shoe to date. Great balance between comfort in the boat while still being solid enough for hiking. Their rubber is top of the line and while they're a little hard to get on, they also don't come off while getting chundered in big holes. Mine are falling apart in various places after a couple years, but actually are holding up better than any previous boating shoes I've owned. Supposedly they've fixed some of the failure points on the new models.
With all the portaging you'll be doing, you're going to want something good. I wish they were a little cheaper but found mine on sale over the winter. Though honestly, if all you're planning on doing is some clear creek and rafting trips, maybe anything cheap is fine.
