Adapting AIRE floor bladders
Hi all, I'm new to the Buzz, but I have an oddball question.
To wit: I've got an older AIRE 143R, but the only floor bladder I can scare up is from a 130E. This presents some obvious problems, not the least of which is that it's too short to fill the floor pocket of my boat. (The 130E bladder also is pointier than AIRE's round boats, so there are a couple of small gaps up near the nose, on either side of the PR valve.)
I'm tempted to shape a chunk of Ethafoam to fill the gaps and, hopefully, prevent the bladder from wiggling around inside the floor pocket. It's basically the same problem as the valve on a bike tire getting dragged out of plumb by the tube slipping inside the tire, if you know what I mean ....
Any thoughts, anyone?
