A quick pictorial on replacing a cracked boot with a C7 valve.

Using a heat gun and scraper remove old boot.

Cut out doughnut patches. I used a inner and outter.

Prep surfaces and follow glue directions(i used bostik).

Use a string to retain the back piece of the valve.

So, to be clear, you glued the two doughnut patches together in the center where they overlapped the old valve hole, or you let the valve mash those two pieces together when you screwed the valve together?

I glued the inner doughnut to the inside of the tube, using the string to keep from loosing the inner part of the valve. Then glued the other doughnut to the outside. Pull on restroom and screw the valve together.

kayakers version...

1. unscrew old drain plug
2. scrap any grungy stuff
3. apply silicone calk
4. screw in new drain plug.

ok kidding aside, nice work with the pictorial.

oh yeah and no kayaker comments about the "grungy stuff"
