I like my shafts straight and in one piece, but I guess if it's broken in two you're supposed to be able to cram it into smaller places.
Oh jeez... I'm sorry... just love a good shaft joke.
But seriously, if it's your backup paddle anyway (just assuming), is a bent shaft really all that necessary?

It's a good day to be a duck....

Primary paddle for backcountry trips. Wrists always get stiff and sore with lots straight shaft contact, but that's better addressed in a different forum...

Buy Ian's 4 piece breakdown lendal. Those are the best breakdowns around. And bent shafts available. Does confluence still have any around?

I picked up Ian's 4 piece.
As far as I know, lendal, now out of business.
Lendal is now Celtic paddles, and their white water paddle site says they will customize for you.

I think gpower may make some 2 piece bent shaft paddles. And galasport may be able to customize some for you.

Further more, I bet Werner would put their breakdown connection in a bent shaft for you. Or you could try to modify a bent shaft paddle to have a breakdown ferrule and button.

Try Werner Corryvrecken

Most WW bent shafts are not available as 2 piece.

One option for you would be the Werner Corryvrecken Paddle.
Paddle Details | Werner Paddles

This is one of their touring paddles, but with larger WW size blades, and is available as short as 205cm for $370 with the glass blades.
Also cool because the feather can be set in 5 degree increments from 0 to 60 degrees right or left.

I picked up a break down AT2 off Craigslist a few years ago. It was a good paddle took it on a bunch of trips. Probably logged fifty days on it before I broke the ferule. One of these days I will fix the ferule.
