I believe that hyside used to offer a line of boats called Rio Bravo that were made in china out of inferior hypalon. 1100 denier sounds about right for the rio bravo boats. I have herd complaints about the durability of the fabric, but I don't have any first hand experience. Hyside quit producing the line because of quality control issues with the Chinese manufacturing. I think the rio bravo boats all have grey thwarts, but I could be wrong. I believe that all mini-maxes used to be rio bravo boats, and that the outfitter quality (1680 denier, urethane coating on bottom) mini max's have only been produced the last few years. I am not sure, but the mini me in the for sale section looks like it may be one(rio bravo), as the seam pattern is different than my mini me on the inside, and it has a grey thwart and patches... I could be mistaken tho.
