Westwater - Self Registration OK

I know someone mentioned it earlier but here's the word on Westwater:

************************************************** ***

Here is the BLM Contingency Plan for your reading pleasure. Westwater will remain open to those that have been issued and received a Westwater river permit. Please be advised that there will be no services available or provided. This includes potable water, toilet paper and rescue. Law enforcement is still working and will be patrolling the BLM lands within the Moab Field Office including Westwater and Cisco. Please leave your signed permits in the self registration box and if you are camping be sure to complete the campsite sign up sheet. If you are not comfortable leaving your permits in the box please send them to me at Moab BLM, 82 east Dogwood, Moab, UT 84532. Completed permits are important as we compile yearly use statistics.

BLM Contingency Plan:

Jennifer Jones - Moab BLM
82 East Dogwood
Moab, UT 84532

Nothing in the world is more yielding and gentle than water. Yet it has no equal for conquering the resistant and tough. The flexible can overcome the unbending; the soft can overcome the hard. - Lao Tse

I have a permit for westwater coming up, and the deadline for fees is coming. I guess I'll just wait till they come back to work.

So do we need to send checks to cover fees? That would definitely be paying for services NOT to be rendered if so. But if that keeps us legit, I'd be inclined to consider it...

I was hoping to add a couple of spots to a permit.... I am assuming no one will be at the phone to help with this until the shutdown is over?
