Urban Boaters Beware

Florida Ave & South Platte River drop structure has a tree stuck in it at the bottom. It's a big one this time and has rendered the drop useless until someone (Denver Parks & Recreation?) can get it out.

We got the tree pulled out today. Unfortunately it is still in the river bed as our chainsaw stopped working. But it is now on the river right shore and out of the way of the boat chute.
