Strainer on the Eagle River

Location:
About a mile pass the chutes, below the first diversion.

Danger:
There is about a 5’ – 8’ log strainer on river right a little way passes the first diversion.

Beta:
The log is sticking out from the shore, and at 1800 cfs (+) it looks like a rock if you are running river right.

I hit this strainer and got myself pin. I was however, lucky enough to get out. Just stay left of center pass the first diversion.

Cheers!

Theres also another down river if you put in at lake creek apartments.

Its river right at the from the pylons to shore as you go under highway 70 the first time. Pretty hard to not see at low water. Just stay left of pylons.
