Crystal River - Tree Down

Last night as the sun was going down, I took a bike ride over to River Valley Ranch (RVR) here in Carbondale to have a look at the Crystal from the bridges. On the first golf cart bridge, just past the main vehicle bridge on the south side of RVR, there's a big tree in the water on river right. The roots were stuck near the bank on river right, and about 20 feet away, on the first bridge support, the rest of the tree was pinned. Standing on it I could feel the bridge shake from the force as it was pushed and jostled by the current. It looked like it might bust free at the roots, and it may well have last night.

Be careful out there...

(Hopefully I can get these pictures to load properly)

Ok, I just had a look this morning. Tree is still there - doesn't look like much from this angle, but I wouldn't want to hit it...

Tell Briar to get his hippie ass down there and get that thing out the way so I can float it safely!
