Clear Creek: Minor Rock Mitigation After "Whew!"
Rafters and Kayakers-
Please note the following information from the Peaks to Plains project:
Construction crews will be performing minor rock fall mitigation work through the Jefferson County 1 (JC-1) portion of Clear Creek, from Tuesday, August 5 to Friday, August 8. JC-1 can be identified at Mile Post 260.02 at the US 6 and SH 119 intersection; between the Class III rapid, “Whew!” and the area known as “Placer Flats”.
Rafters and kayakers will not have to take out; however, please be aware that the rock fall mitigation work is taking place very near the creek. Please use caution in this area.
Thank you for your patience during construction.
