on the Big Thompson River, at the end of the class 3 run - about 6 miles out of Estes Park toward Drake, just 20 yards above the handicap fishing pullout, there are two sweepers. one is obvious, easy to see and only covers about 80% of the river. there is a second one, slightly upstream, very hard to see from the river and covers the whole river... NO WAY AROUND IT. and you may not see it until too late.
scout it from the handicap parking lot and you should have any problems.
