Responsibilities:
Field Marketing
Help plan, coordinate & facilitate Yakima field marketing events & serve as onsite contact.
Responsible for setting up & maintaining product displays, tour infrastructure and standard branding elements at Yakima consumer events throughout assigned region.
Coordinate event logistics, provide technical support and drive brand awareness while in the field.
Assist in the development & execution of promotions at events.
Retail Training
Perform retail clinics onsite at both specialty and chain specialty rack retailers. Duties will include:
o Provide a 1 - 2 hour training clinic to shop employees to educate them on Yakima product & build brand loyalty.
o Communication with sales representatives and retail contacts.
Provide shop support during your visit. Duties may include:
o Onsite sales, installs & product education for in- store customers.
o Stocking Yakima inventory and maximizing product placement.
o Evaluating & merchandising displays.
o Distributing promotional materials to store employees.
o Executing shop promotions at the trade and consumer level.
o Collecting product, marketing and buying trend data.
General
Draft & email weekly event reports, retail reports and photos to manager.
Track & manage budget & submit weekly expense reports.
Attend & work at various trade events including Outdoor Retailer and Interbike.
Cleaning & regular maintenance of marketing vehicle.
Represent Yakima in a professional manner at all times.
Qualifications:
Acquire complete working knowledge of Yakima products (training provided).
Exceptional skills within the following areas: communication, organization, public speaking, merchandising & customer service.
Ability to work & multi-task with special attention to follow through with detail & accuracy.
Must be able to work from the road for a minimum of 5-week increments.
Able to lift & move 50+ lbs.
Independent, creative-thinker, self-starter, ability to work without direct supervision.
Have a valid drivers license & a good driving record.
Must be extremely outgoing, professional & have a passion for the outdoors.
Knowledge of MS Office programs.
Prefer candidates with experience working at specialty retail & executing promotions.
Pre-employment drug testing may be required.
