Interface should never be a problem as long as you don't have "expectations." Try being kind, offering a hot cup of coffee (or a beer) and treating a ranger like a fellow boater! It works for me.

I've always had great interactions with dino rangers. Remember, they are there for (at least) two reasons. for the love of the river, and to pull a paycheck. pulling the check comes with duties and responsibilities. you a$$fu&%#rs got me all worked up for my first permit check five years ago. i had my shit together. no problem. kudos to buckoff. treat them like a fellow boater. no problem

Hi Slim,

I am probably late to the party however u never know. Been dutifully sending in my $20 for a yampa permit for 20 yrs and alas have not been successful. If the boaters u r working w/fall though let me know. It would make my spring if I could get on the Yampa. The Yampa is one of the last ones missing on the bucket list. Thanx.
