yampa gunnison other big flows

Hey I have a friend in town and we are looking to hit some big flows. Will drive anywhere in CO Wednesday night to paddle Thursday Friday Saturday. Looking for some big water maybe gunnison, and yampa is peaking at 6900 right now. Who's ready to throw down?

....gunny high water....

...a little too early for the big flows on the gunny....go to "JUST A REMINDER"... post and you can get reliable info on those about 3 weeks or so....the surf waves at the park in gunny are a go too, so hit them if you come this way...milo

Cool thanks for the beta. Cross mtn gorge is looking like its holding too big right now so I am checking out other options for the next few days of boating. Any recommendations for the best flows for the upcoming weekend? Creeking or big water would be best

Anyone got an update on the North Platte? Is 6-mile still snowed in?

yeah, I am hoping to see cross drop to something more reasonable.. its already down to about 5900 as of Wednesday 8pm. I would love to get back out on Cross if the water level drops just a bit and someone else wants to meet up with us for the shuttle run.

CWorthy, I heard second hand that the Northgate canyon section is good to go. i am also considering that for this weekend.

We are going down to buena vista tonight, hoping to catch pine creek/ numbers above minimum flow thursday. Then ready to drive anywhere the water levels are right and there are others to run shuttle to paddle Friday and Saturday.
