Where to go for IV+, V- after CO dies down?

So, I'll have some time off this summer and I realize by late June the CO season may be dying down. I would normally say that ID would be a good next destination to do some paddling, but I believe their snowpack was not too good this year. I have some contacts out in WA, but that is a haul. Is that where I should go if I wanted to say, paddle from June 20-July 1st? Looking for Bailey-esque boating....

CO will still be prime for IV+/V- paddling at the end of June given our current snowpack. I wouldn't go anywhere. Your biggest challenge will be finding paddling partners during the week for day trips. I've taken a week off in June and paddled every day on the front range before and it was awesome!

Late June boating

There should still be some good stuff going in southeast Idaho and NW Wyoming. Blackfoot which is very Bailey-like is dam-controlled and runs much of the summer. I've run Teton in mid August so it should still go unless they're in a really bad drought. From southeast Idaho, it's not bad to drive over to Jackson Hole and on to the Wind River Range. There's also the Quake Lake section of the Madison near West Yellowstone but it's only a mile long.

There may still be adequate water in the South Clearwater. Of course the N. Payette will be running.
