What outfitter for Mexico kayaking ?

Taking a trip down south this winter and was wondering what kayaking company people recommend? The two companies that I have looked into so far are liquid adventures and kayak huasteca. Any info on either would be great or other recommendations are also greatly appreciated.

If someone tries to convince you that March is a great time to go, look elsewhere.

I've always done the self-guided route myself, but I did have a buddy that went with Agua Azul. He thoroughly enjoyed his trip.

If you are going to the Valles area you better go quick! They didn't get good water there this year. A super close girl friend of mine ownes Adventura Huastica. She runs shuttles for the Tampion and Salto for kayakers. Micos you can walk the shuttle. There are a few other things you can do in the area to. The food is great in Valles (Tacos Richards restaurant)! But El Flaco is dead on about March! I too go down on self guided trips, but if you haven't been down before, Ena at Adventura Huastica and her employees are a great resorse for some first time beta on camping area/s, good cheep hotels, food, shuttles, and can take down girl friends/non boaters in rafts. Great girl!

As things become more and more heated for the cartels, they are getting into river guiding. Call 1-800-kill you.

Driving to Mexico in December Crazy

I have yet to make it down to mexico for the paddling season.

Whats the best way to go about a trip down there this season?

Driving or flying?

Part of me thinks that finding a few of motivated paddlers and hopping in the Tocoma and heading down would be easiest. But then there is the potential for lack, of water, and changing danger level.

Whats is it like down this year?
