What time of year? How long do you have? Do you want big water or low volume creeking? Are looking at any areas in specific? Colorado? California? Canada? East Coast? Tight budget? The places you can go for good paddling are truly limitless. A little more information might help narrow things down.

I would say Asheville, NC or Vancounver, BC. Pretty much year round paddling with tons of stuff within 5 hour radius. Unfortunately, the rocky mountain states don't have good year round paddling. But for Colorado, I would say that the Glenwood springs area puts you closest to the most rivers, and within a reasonable drive to just about anywhere in Colorado.

If you plan on heading up now, the Northwest would be a good bet. Lot's of stuff currently running. The season is looking good so far.

Hmmm. You've still got some time then. If I could do it all over again, I would probably end up in either Asheville, NC, or Beachburg, Ontario (oh yeah! big water Ottowa). Colorado is awesome, too. Definately TONS of stuff to be had here. If you're going for just paddling, though, Colorado only has 9 months a year (but you do get ski season), whereas Asheville has year-round. CA also has tons of great stuff. You'd get creeking in CO, and both in NC, CA, or ON. Make sure you go somewhere that you can continue your education (you can do this at any of these places). But honestly, you'll get great paddling in no matter where you go. I can name 25 countries and 25 states that I would love to spend a couple years paddling in. And I've still got a list of 70 runs in Colorado I want to do. So many rivers, so little time .

If I had it to do all over again I'd go to New Zealand. Oh wait...

Alright if not NZ then learn some Spanish and head over to South America.

great places to boat

I'd say that cali has the best quality for creeking plus great surf; but pricy. Bro you could avoid north america alltogether and head to europe. Some great boatin there for sure...the french alps and northern italy have some swweeeeet creeks. sweet azz for you.
