Upper NFork or SFork of the Poudre?

So who is hitting the upper N. Fork of the Poudre or the S. Fork and when?

I heard Brent, Scotty and others cleaned out the S.Fork. I've never done the SF and would love to get some.

Hey Gannon I would be down for either one or both. Weekdays are best for me but can pull off a weekend here and there. I will be out of town for this weekend. Jason

Yo fellas. I just wanted to mention something after riverwrangler asked me the other night if I was certain that we got ALL of the wood out of the little south. I'm pretty confident we got it all BUT where we couldnt we cut boat chutes through. Thats also not to say that there couldnt be new wood or something that shifted around...but it does go without sayin, that the run is better than before...if it's what your lookin for.

REGARDLESS you still gotta go in there on guard for wood and scout like you would any other creek!

Just a little SAFE-T reminder.

And no, sorry I haven't gotten visuals on either places yet.

A little upper north beta from last season - the hike in sucks with a raft - we gave up carrying the raft and got landowner permission to cross their property. We would have saved ourselves a lot of grief by just asking - the caretaker was nice. Might even let you just drive past the low bridges on their property, drop your gear, and leave your car back at the parking lot if you ask real nice.

That waterfall comes up quick.

Lots of barbed wire fences in the run out. 5 or 6 maybe? Pain in the ass with a raft, probably not such a big deal with kayaks, we had to portage every one of them and had trouble eddying out above them - more like hop out and dig in on shore to hold the boat in the current while your buddies jump to shore. But it did keep the adrenaline flowing after the whitewater ended - I hate seeing rivers flowing through barbed wire fences - makes me nervous.

I floated past the little south fork yesterday and I believe it was not flowing very much. I looked at the gauge but we were already a ways past it...there was not a lot flowing out of it yet.

Anyone have any idea about rafting the little SF...possible, no go, not suggested, etc

I know the run is creeky but how tight???
There is always a reason not to...

If you guys got whammied by that spring storm like we did down here above the Golden area, it knocked a lot of stuff down. Around 7-8,000 feet in some areas about 10% of the tree tops broke off...a proper chunk. I believe that storm happened after the flossing. Protect ya' neck.

I'm out for this weekend, made plans elsewhere, but if flows pop up (or stay up) for next weekend, I would be interested in going.
