Taos Box put in and take out?

I'm planning on making my way up to the box sometime this month and am unfamiliar with put ins and take outs for the longer lower Taos Box section. Any help? Also, are there parts that need scouting? It would be cool too if someone would want to meet up for this, but I'm not sure yet when I'll be up there.

Box Put In

The Put In is at John Dunn Bridge down from Arroyo Hondo. That is North of Taos. You will need to ask directions locally. The locals would prefer that you not drive through Arroyo Hondo.

The Take out is at Taos Junction Bridge upstream of the BLM (?) Campground. Turn off at the village of Pilar and drive upstream until you see the take out/bridge. 4-6 miles maybe.

Not a bad campground if you don't mind paying.

There used to be a back road up Rio Pueblo that you could pick up outside Rancho de Taos. But it washed out some years ago and was never rebuilt.

There is at least one, and maybe two rapids you'll want to scout. The first is the horizon line you see right after the power lines come into view above. If the water is low, you may have to run the technical left line. Otherwise, the right line is easy if it's not too bony. The second one you'll definitely want to look at is the horizon line just after the powerlines. It has a center-left and maybe a center-right line.
