South Platte main-stem Sunday

The wifey and I are still beginners and we are thinking about floating the main-stem of the SP from Brighton to Ft. Lupton this Sunday (getting impatient waiting for flows to subside elsewhere). We have a 14-ft paddle raft and expect to fill it with a few more people. Anyone interested in joining the urban mission? Any suggestions/warnings besides the info on eddyflower? Don't plan on touching the effluent/dog shit laden water too much....
