Shuttle in and around Glenwood.

I'm planning on taking the girlfriend out for some river time Saturday on Grizzly Creek, then maybe on a Shoshone run or two if she's keen. Anyone out there want to link up for shuttling?

A nice lady named Dee will do your shuttle. It is $35.

Thanks! Good to know. I was planning on working something out at the put-in with other boaters but if push comes to shove ... how do I contact Dee?

I did a bike shuttle there a few years ago between Grizzly and South Canyon. I didn't know about the nice lady named Dee and I didn't want to drive separate cars out there just for the shuttle. A little bit was on the highway but most of it is through town and on the bike path- not bad. I haven't been there lately so I don't know if there's any construction or anything that would get in your way.

Glenwood and the Ark are about the easiest shuttle hitchikes around. If you're running to Three Rivers Park in Glenwood, drop your car at the parking lot, take your PFD or a paddle to identify you as a boater (so folks won't think you're a Rainbow-type, God forbid...), trot up the bikepath to the I-70 exit and stick out your thumb. You'll soon be on the way back up to Grizzley Creek. No slam on Dee but you should spend the $35 taking the lady out to a nice restaurant.

Take the bike if you want to run Shoshone. Its also easy to hitch from South Canyon or New Castle though from New Castle it's about a 15 minute walk back from the boat ramp to I-70.

There should be plenty of boaters on a weekend to catch rides with.

Have a fun time!

Is the nice lady named Dee still in business? I need a Tuesday shuttle and don't want to hitch - my daddy got strangled by a drifter when I was a kid.
