San Isabel NF dispersed camping

I am planning a week long camping trip to Colorado for our honeymoon. We are avid campers/adventurers and range in skill. I really want to luxuriate this experience (more gear), yet shy away from public areas unless the day calls for it. We are planning this for September, and were looking around San Isabel. Car & tent with kayaks. Hiking and scenery are a must. Dispersed camping is ideal, but we'll have alot of equipment to deal with so perhaps if there is a campground that can provide adequate solitude for our privacy needs. Any location is welcome!! Really just looking for the most comfortable, beautiful, remote location I can find that we can access. Please, and thank you!

Oh, I can park and hike up to a half a mile to get more privacy as I realize that any where I can drive probably won't be considered secluded.

Look at the smaller creeks that feed the Ark. There is good dispersed camping up Halfmoon Creek, Clear Creek, Cottonwood Creek (north, middle and south forks), Chalk Creek, Browns Creek and the North Fork of the South Arkansas. Get a good map and you shouldn't have any problem finding a few "secluded" spots to camp.
GARNA’s mission is to foster stewardship of the resources of the greater Arkansas River region through education, volunteerism and experiences.
