Can anyone confirm the salt river wilderness requirements for kayak self support overnighter?
I found this website
Tonto National Forest- Passes
It just says that a kayaker must have a fire pan or blanket. It does not list the square inches or depth of the wall etc...
It says nothing about requiring a breakdown paddle or how many per kayaker(S) on the water.
No listing of a major/minor medical kit
no mention of extra pfd
no mention of the groover size or what is accepted.
I figure I will meet the GC specs and hope they allow what we have. This is my first salt trip, and I am joining a group, I do not want to make waves for them, but I also dont want to get turned away at launch.
Can anyone confirm the requirements of the sal for a multi day kayak run?
I do not want to over pack, any advice?
