You can run daily trips from Hwy 60 downstream and shuttling back on Apache Road 1. The multiday trip goes from Hwy 60 to Hwy 288 and is usually run in 3 to 5 days.
You can contact the USFS Tonto National Forest - Globe Ranger District for permit information and more information regarding the trip. Permits are required March 1 through May 15 and the deadline for permits is Jan. 15th 2010.
The White Mountain Apache Tribe requires permits year round. The first 20 miles of the trip from Hwy 60 downstream is on WMAT land so fees and permits are required for both daily and multi-day trips on tribal land.
Wilderness Aware Rafting at www.inaraft.com
