ran it last may (around 3 to7th)
200 cfs, launched at gleason flat (beginning of the wilderness section) no one else on the river, 13' maravia spyder, no kitchen, no beer (did have a little whiskey), about five lbs. of ice in the cooler, no tent, backpack stove for coffee and oatmeal for breakfast, cooked dinner on the firepan, really nothing but the safety gear and repair kit. pretty spartan.
bottom line it is doable but it is not for the faint of heart. black rock was a line the boat, quartzite was no big deal but corkscrew was a bitch. a lot of tricky entries.
it is a spectacular run though. have done it many times before. it was nice having the place all to ourselves. been a while since that's happened for me.
