rivers in Alabama

Anyone know of any good rivers in Alabama and their class

I think the Locust Fork is II - III-, and there's a really good surf wave down near Eufaula or Wetumpka, somewhere over on that side of the state not too far from you.

Hopefully some more folks from the SE will chime in with info - it usually happens right after someone puts up a post saying that MB is a Colorado only website.

Check out Alabama Outdoors in Pelham, there's also a UA kayak club in Tuscaloosa. The UA club website has phone numbers for their leaders - give one a call and do some google searching.

Little river canyon. A classic. I've only run the class v bit, but I think there's some easier stretches as well.

Mountainbuzz is a Colorado paddlers site only....

You could try the same post here: BoaterTalk: Whitewater kayaking, canoeing and rafting information but plan on being derided for 10 posts before getting any actual information.

LRC is one of my favorites. Alabama whitewater page is probably your best resource.
