I floated the "upper rio" two weeks ago. Day one we floated from River Hill Campground to some bridge about 6.5 miles, I think they call it "box canyon" or something. This stretch pretty narrow and rocky for rafts or cats (which is what we were using), kayaks and IK's would work great.
Day two we floated from Wagon Wheel Gap to Coller SWA, great run really run, mellow float. I think this stretch is floatable much longer than the other sections.
