Rio Brazos has water...

USGS Current Conditions for USGS 08284100 RIO CHAMA NEAR LA PUENTE, NM

For those looking for serious adventure, this coming weekend might be your best chance in 2014 for the Brazos in New Mexico. Or it might not be accessible.

Here is the tr that Kyle and Evan used for the writeup in WWSR:

Colorado Kayaking :: Colorado's online river guide and journal for whitewater kayaking

Some pretty awesome photos of some stout drops...

We went in a few years ago (2012), and luckily had a good size truck and chainsaw.... Don't forget a chainsaw.

30 footer went that day but put in at the eddy above 5 foot boof.

I have no interest in the upper, but I am super interested in the lower III/ÍV section. Where would one even put in/take out? How would one determine appropriate flow levels? I know of a put in that's poachable, but would need a drop off...we might have a week or so of flow left?
