Rancho del Gumbo float in September?

There is a big funk fest 9/23-925 at Rancho del Rio next month. I dig the bands and am going. I would like to do a mellow morning float from Pumphouse down to Rancho del Rio one of the days. Anyone else going?

Info at:

Wow, Rancho's charging almost as much as Mile High Music fest did. Better be a damn good show. I wonder what KK's prices will be that weekend???

Weekend Pass Early Bird (limited quantities) sold-out Tier One $159.00 Tier Two $169.00 Tier Three $179.00 Tier Four $189.00 At the Door $209.00 RV Parking (sorry, no hook-ups) $150.00 Single-Day Pass $69.00

Better not bring a truck and boat trailer. Then you pay another $150!!!

All vehicles taller, wider, or longer than a 15-passenger van are required to purchase an RV parking pass.

Kinda makes me want to just keep floating right on down to SB....

Is that wrong?

In my opinion, that's a much better lineup than the Mile High Music festival has ever had, but I love Nola music.

Leave your trailer at the put in and float into the festival. That's what I've done for Yarmonygrass the past couple of years. Or, leave it down river at the railroad parking lot. I've done that numerous times as well. No need to pay them $150 bucks cause they'll probably give your space (or someone will take it) away when your out boating!

Rancho del Gumbo has a promo code that targets the river rats. It gets you $50 off the 3-day pass, so $129 for three days of music and camping (at a place that will shuttle you up to Pumphouse... for a fee). Not bad considering the line-up.

Go to Rancho del Gumbo - Home, hit "ticketing" and the the "buy" button for a weekend pass. You then get a page with a promo code box. The code that went out to the outfitters is "paddle me". Put that in and the price drops.

I like the idea of floating to my campsite. I've paddled to a few Sunday afternoon shows at the Mishawaka up on the Poudre, good times.
