Alright...no jokes, i'm diversifying my portfolio and taking up rafting in addition to kayaking. Instead of loading up a cooler and bombing Gore I want some knowledgeable instruction. i've called up a few outfitters and they want safety waivers, liability fees, and all sorts of nonsense.
I'll supply the tools and people. I'm thinking about a day trip somewhere on the Arkansas. You don't have to paddle, just critique and provide some direction so my solo career won't end in defeat.
There will be multiple options for payment:
1. Money, how does a 100 bucks sound?
2. Beer, a couple of cases of beer - I dont care if your underage.
3. Kayak instruction, i've been kayaking for 6 years. Let's call it information exchange.
I would be up for it on either day. I have been rafting commercial for 10 years and know the Ark well. I have trained more than handful of guides. Shoot me a IM and I will give you my #'s.

Hey, I'll go. I've trained several years worth of raft classes for commercial companies, but now I've got a good job that allows me to just kayak full time. Your trip sounds like a good time though and I'm in.

hey joe,
mike on the above post has offered to lead some of us down the ark next monday, 5/15. I saw your other post 'go boatin with joe'.
sounds like a good idea...except for the romantic floats down the ark comment.
anyway, I'm going to take you up on some of the other trips.
thanks again for the offer, its nice to see such a good response for help. especially when it pertains to teaching rafting. I guess any excuse to hit the river is a good one. it doesn't matter if you paddle tupperware or rubber.
We have a westwater permit on Monday 15h of May and have plenty of seats available. So far two rafts with six people, room for up to 25. Some of us are thinking of camping at upper/lower little D. I can grab another raft off the stack if we get more people.
If anyone wants to go, bring your food, party materials, whatever gear you have and show up at the put-in at westwater sunday night. See you there joe, ryan or whomever wants to go.
Alright, couldn't make it today, but I'm in for this weekend. Are you peeps feeling roudy enough to hit pine creek/numbers and then I'll watch you guide fractions and offer tips?
