Owyhee river trip

I am organizing a trip down the Owyhee river in southeastern Oregon from April 16-24. We will run the middle and lower Owyhee from three forks to birch creek (88 miles). Right now we have 5 rafts, 1 kayak, and 8 people going on the trip. Anyone interested in joining us? About the Owyhee: Mostly class III & IV. Will portage/line widowmaker. The season is usually March to early June. Description: National wild & scenic river. Spectacular slot-like chasm in flat volcanic plateau. Very isolated. Excellent beaches. Pool & drop character. Many hot springs. Please call me to discuss more details if your if your interested. Ron 720-489-7679.

Owyhee river trip

We are two kayakers who might be very interested in joining your trip. Would there still be room for two?

Sounds like fun--maybe too much fun!

Not that I've run the Owyhee, but 9000 cfs sounds like a lot of water in a little canyon. It's dropping pretty steadily though...

Beta on Owyhee?

E-mail this guy and he will give you the word. He is a straight talking Class V Idaho boater who just got off 3-forks.

Post what he says so he does not get 100 e-mails
