OR/WA day trip March 6/7th?

I'm heading up to Corvallis and Seattle to check out schools the Friday 5th-Mon 8th and was hoping to check out the kayaking in the area also. Any suggested class 4ish runs around that area, and does anyone want to come?

Also, any suggestions for places I could rent a boat? I'm planning on bringing all my gear, just need a boat and maybe a paddle.

Check out check out the Willamette Kayak and Conoe Club in Corvallis Willamette Kayak and Canoe Club. They have a trip that weekend and maybe someone can come up with a boat.

Real adventure is only one bad decision away.

All things Oregon kayaking are found at

Oregon Kayaking

Rest assured something will be running
My favorite class 4 run in Oregon (anywhere) is the Opal Creek run on the Little North Fork of the Santiam. Class 4 creeking heaven!!!
But if it rains (El Nino is not good to the NW) and playboating is your game head to Lake Creek outside Florence. Have fun

Seattle Area

Checkout the Skykomish River, Index. It's about an hour East of Seattle off of HWY 2. It runs year around and great Views, clear water and people up there just about every weekend. Class III to IV+ pending levels. We run commercial rafts through the main from 2k-10k cfs, above that we'll run the North section. Kayakers run from 900-15k cfs above that it gets a little nutty.
