Always wanted to float Deso when the cottonwoods are gold.
That is, two or three weeks into October.
Smaller boats would be more fun than big ones. I've got kitchen & toilet gear and am happy to row a support boat to lend modest comfort for duckies, kayaks, or Pack Cats. A group of 4-8 would be nice. I've done the trip several times and it's one of my favorites.
Just checked the BLM river calendar. A few October dates have been claimed, but most are open.
