North Platte from six mile to treasure island min?

I'm looking at doing North Platte next weekend from Six Mile to Treasure Island. My understanding is this is class II+?

What would be a suitable level for a 16' cataraft? We'd like to spend 3 days/2 nights on the river, but will be pretty light. Looks like it is currently 1300 cfs.

Anybody know of any shuttle companies there?

I believe 6 mile is a 1/4 mile + carry to or from the river. Not a good launch spot for a gear boat. I helped carry an empty 14'er up that hill and it wasn't all that sweet.

If you have the persons/skill, put in higher and run northgate canyon first.

I'll second Dave's recommendation to run Northgate if you have the skills to run class III. Narrow Falls can be worth a scout. Search 'Northgate' on this site and you'll find lots of good information on all the sections of the North Platte, put-ins and take-outs, and the names of two or three shuttle services.

The current level at northgate is 350. I would not attempt running it at this level in a 16' cat. The 6 mile access does suck....but the flow increases downstream as tributaries add to the volume. I think thats where your getting your 1600 CFS level? Are you checking the level at treasure island?'s a cool float but you might wait for a little more water.
