In the likely event of us not scoring a Selway permit, it would be great if we could do either the 'warm springs approach' or squeeky's awesome 'selway lap' before May 15th. I'm excited now to see how next spring shapes up.

On a side note, if the Moose Juice section were road side I imagine that section would be world famous. So much fun. I can't wait for next year.

There are other creeks too that may or may not be worth a hike:
  • Whitecap creek
  • Little Clearwater
  • Gedney Creek (which is near the take out for the Selway) - we hiked into the lower half of this when everything spiked real high and it was a blast.
  • Meadow Creek - Which after hiking up to the first monstrosity of a rapid would require a really early season hike in over snow from Red River Hot Springs (~10 miles) or a late season go.

But I enjoy long strolls in the woods, full of downed trees, with a boat. Do those creeks give you that?
