I've IK'd the middle fork from about 8 miles up from the confluence with the north fork quite a few times. if you're paddle rafting, you'd probably do alright up that way. (good fishing, clear water all that fun stuff, you're just along side the road the whole way as the only down side, but its not that heavily traveled during the week. )
