Water is too low most places as we are late in the season. There are a few III/IV options running though. Clear creek is done except for the playpark.
Foxton run on the north fork south platte just came on with dam release. Its a fun III+ run. 300 is low, but still a good time. Its about 1 hr from golden.
Waterton is a short section downstream of foxton that is III+, about a mile long, and you hike back to the car when you are done.
The arkansas river is running low and royal gorge, numbers, or browns canyon are all still worth it at lower levels. Good late season III/IV options. The ark is a bit over 2 hrs from golden.
Shoshone is in too. Its short (1 mile) class III near glenwood, and there is a playwave in town at glenwood as well. Its a bit over 2 hrs from golden as well.
My two cents would be hit foxton and the ark. Probably best bang for your buck.
