New Boater needs friends

If you are reading this you are awesome. Anyway I am a sophmore at CU Boulder and I need some people to paddle with. Our kayak club on campus isnt that great. We have newbies and Class V boaters and no one in between it seems. I learned to boat last summer out on the Upper Kern river in CA while I was guiding. I am a class II - III boater and I need to meet people to get better and figure out where to paddle in Colorado. Anyway I have a full set of gear (thanks to pro-deals) and a vehicle. I am willing to drive an hour or so to find paddling. I realize that the season may have passed this year but I am just trying to see whats out there. Hit me up if you can help me out. Thanks for reading.

If there is anything flowing such as the C-470 to union run in littleton or the Deckers run in Conifer I would be down. The c-470 run is ideal around 500 but i have paddled it as low as 250 and still had fun. I would only run Deckers above 3oo or so. Either way let me know.

Hey I'm at CU too, I wouldn't so quick to give up on the club, that's where I've met everyone I know that paddles. I would consider my self a solid class 4 boater but I still get out and run stuff with them. Anyways, how's your roll? I think my cousin Brian (also at CU) and I might go do some laps on Waterton on Friday if you're interested. We've never been down it so I don't necessarily know what it's like, but it doesn't sound too bad.

I'm at CU as well. I've just started paddling this last summer and got up to Class III. I would def be down to grab a brew somewhere and shoot the shit about rivers around here. I've guided for a season on the Arkansas and lived in Glenwood last summer on the rivers, so I've got a bit of knowledge about the area. Hit me up!

Yeah i wasnt trying to diss the kayak club. I just didn't think i could get too much out of it. Unfortunately I have class til 4 on friday. As for my roll, I can get up with a sweep roll about 90% of the time. thanks for everyone replying that has.

Check out Colorado Whitewater.
Lots of cruises, its cheap, and we have big get-togethers several times a year. Guaranteed to find people to boat with.
