I only asked because there are likely people at the take out that would have room for some people, but not a lot of gear or dogs.
I live in North Fork, too far for me for a casual 10 hour drive ( I drive slow) and I do not drive at night - many animals, curves, and such. Been there, done that, and after pulling a raft out of the water, missing the window on road closure, driving to Riggins, dumping the poop, and THEN driving 400 miles, you hallucinate. Try the Idaho Whitewater Group - lots of folks floating and you may get lucky. Make sure you get it confirmed. The takeout at Riggins (river road - Carey or Spring Creek) is a long way to town - but the best place to connect with a ride. Much of the traffic from Riggins (IMHO) will be to Boise to places east or west. Do you have family or contacts in Salmon, or is that just a location to get to (ie. local)?
Anyway, good luck on the river and return. Be safe.
