Moab Daily Next Week; Shuttle Options?

Leaving the snowy high country in Summit County, Colorado for the warmth of the desert next week, want to run the Moab Daily... just looking for good, reputable shuttle options. Never hitchhiked in my life, no desire to start now.

I've had pretty spotty luck hitchhiking that road anyway

We've used a taxi service for this; cost about 50 bucks. Can't remember all the details, but it maybe called Moab Taxi. Dude's name was Derrick or Damien or something; nice guy, arrived on time

Last year had great luck hitchhiking a couple of times. Rode my bicycle this weekend from takeout beach to Hittle Bottom. Not a bad ride except for very curvy with no shoulder and drivers looking at the scenery instead of the road. Had to escape off the road more than once.

We were there last week and had no problems hitching. A bike shuttle would be easy as well, though could be a little long. The commercial trips launch in the morning and mid afternoon and are usually a easy shuttle if you connect with them.

... like they said, send one person to hitch. Everyone else gets extended play time in the river.

hoping things thaw up here this weekend, or I'm not going boating next week... my frame is encased in a good-sized ice flow right now under a foot of snow. hmmmm.

I was there the last week of March and found it impossible to hitch back to the car in mid-afternoon wearing a PFD. I would call ahead and arrange to have an outfitter pick you up at Takeout Beach and run you up to Hittle when they drive up there in the morning.

I would echo everyone else's comments that a bike would be an easy shuttle.

Hittle had a "Camp Host" when I was there and some people didn't like that. You can camp and launch at Onion Creek. The Camp Host from Hittle supervises that Campground and will collect your fees, but he doesn't live there.
