Moab Daily at 26000

Anyone done the Moab Daily at the recent high water? We are putting on the Dolores at Gateway this weekend and thinking about continuing down all the way to take-out beach. My question is: how long do you think this run will be (time)? The Dewey to Hittle Bottom section adds 8 miles of flatwater, and I want to be sure we will make it in one day (or rather, Gateway to Moab in three days).

We are three 12' rafts, and I am chickenshit and will probably want to scout EVERYTHING and maybe line parts of Stateline or even portage.

Gateway to takeout beach on the Daily would be really doable and probably an awesome trip. I would camp the second night at Onion Ck. on the Daily. Your first camp should be that awesome one with the side canyon on the right up on the Dolores. Your trip is totally manageable. The only real catch might be the wind, but with the water up you should be fine. I would pack bug spray for the bottom part of the Dolores. the biting flies were bad there when I was there 3 years ago. have fun.

Did the Moab daily last weekend. Pretty fast. Rapids were fun. Mosquitos were really bad.

Bug dope, check. Actually now I am so terrified after reading horrific accounts of the Dolores that I'm convinced we're going to take an extra day doing rescues etc and not even get to the Daily. Time to step away from the Google.
