Middle fork of the salmon. May 28th

We are looking for some quality rafters for our Middle fork trip. The launch is may 28th, and everthing this year looks as though it will be an adventure.

It will be high water, with the posiblity of running marsh creek. The typical road to the pur-in is under feet of snow, and it is doubtfull if it will be open on the 28th.

We have a great group of guys, sorry we have no women going this year. Not that they cant come, they just didnt fell up to the adventure.

we have 3 quality MFS rafters at the moment, and a handful of kayakers.

If you have the skills, a good raft that can carry some "river magot's" gear, and a good atitude, then lets go.

Last year we ate like kings, drank 25 cases of beer(even had more flown in) and had a great safe trip.

let me know if you are interested.

Can you repost the log pic? I got a file not found error.

I love early season on the MF. Wish I could join you.

If you google "Marsh creek log," you will see a real good picture of the log. The pics are from last year, but the log is still there, and it is impassable by rafts. And a portage, especially right now in all the snow would be damn near impossible for a raft, much less several rafts in a row. We are heading up there next week, and have hired an outfitter with vehicles that can get through the snow to take us into the Boundry putin. If anyone wants the contact info, I can get it to you. He is estimating about $125/person to get in there, which is a little cheaper than flying into Indian Creek, and you don't have to miss the first 30 miles. FYI, Stanley Air is out of business. Word is that the pilot died a few years back. So any groups going in there in the coming weeks who are contemplating flying in out of Stanley may have a tough time. My understanding is that Salmon Air is the only operation running into the MF now, and they are located in Salmon, which is a good hike from Stanley. Here is the link with the fly over pics. Still alot of snow.
