Way too early to tell. I wouldn't say bleak yet but current is below average for sure. I am thinking peak around mid May and five feet first part of June. Four feet by mid June. Hoping for higher but I am a little pessimistic about a big or normal year.
It's just that it is feeling way too spring like for mid February. I have seen winter re-descend in March and April but it feels different this year.
I picked up a May 14th permit and was pretty sure it was going to be a Marsh Creek launch but maybe not. What some of the snotel info doesn't show is the scarcity of mid to low elevation snow. There is the 84 % up high at the snotels where they do some of the predictions but precious little to none below 7K or 6K feet.
Again way too early to tell. I been wrong before and will be again. Just a hunch.
