Anybody feel like taking a Semi Newbie down the Lower Eagle on Sunday. I could do Saturday if that works better for you. Ideally I am looking to follow an experienced boater so that I can learn lines and scout etc...
Maybe. In fact, I could possbily do Satruday as well. Depends on the health of my kid (nobody wants to babysit a sick kid! LOL).
I'm supposed to take my sister's family Sunday, and they don't want to go up I-70, being a weekend and a holiday. If I can convince them, then I'm all over it!
If not, then I may try to arrange to meet you myslef on Saturday (pending wife approval in that case). Stay tuned....
This weekend was an ugly one. Two kids at home with Swine Flu. Every day was a new twist or turn. Every day I was looking for someone to head up there with me.
If the water is still up, maybe next Sunday will work out? I hope so, I'd like to hit it one more time before it's too low. I'm leaving for two weeks the weekend after that.
I'm in for this Sunday (7/12) if any of you want to meet up. Looks like it could be the last chance for us rafters, water levels are going down.
I plan to go from the water treatment plant to the fairgrounds. I usually try to be on the water by about 11 so I can get back to Denver at a reasonable hour.
I'll probably be with the wife and kids, but could also be with a friend instead. Either way, I plan to be there because it will likely be my last run of the year on the Eagle (out of town next couple of weekends after this).
