Looking for A Teen Kayaker

So you can see what I am looking for based on the title. Basically I need to kayak more and right now I can only kayak about 4 times a month because I kayak with my dad and he travels so much so it does not permit for him to kayak alot. Saying that I want to find someone between the ages of 14-18 to kayak with on a regular basis either on the weekends or weekdays. I work so my schedule is limited a little but not too much. If this thread pertains to any of you or your kids please PM me or call me at 303 718 3071 or 303 790 9227. If it does work I can drive and all and we can use my car to travel places and so on.

If anyone is interested please PM me soon I want to kayak tomorrow morning if I can. Thanks

Your request is ODD!!!! All teens that paddle have other buds that paddle because paddlers dont paddle alone. If no other buds can go im sure you would have some other parents of your buds that could paddle with you. Because good parents dont just throw there kids in WW. One other small thing, you have a car and a job. Something just seems a little fishy.

Its not fishy at all. I have to buy my own kayaking gear and Im a lifeguard at a pool in my neighborhood and my parents let me borrow their car when my dad is out of town which is 90% of the time in the summer. I'm 17 years old and the few kids I kayak with are not very serious about kayaking. So i'm looking for someone to kayak with on a regular basis.

I would go to your favorite run and hook up with some more experienced paddlers with some Swift Water Rescue classes under there belt and some river miles. DONT paddle alone!!! Your post may just need to be worded a little different. Good luck with finding some paddling buds.

Ya I don't paddle alone. But I am mostly looking for just meeting up with people at Golden or Union or Confluence and just park and play and maybe some runs around Denver or on the Ark when it comes down.

I feel ya man!! I'm the same way except I live in casper. The only people here that kayak are good and don' want to hit the river with a beginner too much. Sucks...
you old geezers just don't understand

The guy is legit. I talked to him and his family on the Poudre this weekend. Parents are very supportive and encouraging. Like he said, he's just looking to get out on the water more.

Phillip - I hope you conquer Cardiac Corner the next time you run it! I just sent an e-mail to your mother's address about some of the things we talked about Saturday night. Keep with it! Sounds like you're doing great!

Hey man, if your a serious boater able to do some IV+, V type boating, your more then welcome to come boat with us. We're a group of 18/19 year olds that have been boating, and doing slalom for quite some time, with a variety of skill levels. We try and push some harder stuff, but safety first.

Any way just get in touch, probably do lower clear, rigor down tomorrow evening if your game. e-mail's best off the bottom there.
